Polkashots.io has been providing filesystem snapshots of Polkadot nodes for operators to quickly and reliably start or recover a validator node. The setup is cloud-hosted. It has had good uptime and is widely used. This proposal aims at covering the growing maintenance costs as well as adding an IPFS upload mechanism to make them available in a decentralized manner.
