Bohemia Fam and reimbursement for my time
I am Daniel or you might know me as Polkadot Agent.
I have been an active community member and agent for quite some time. This is to open up a discussion about my plan for Web3 in Prague, Czechia, EU. I am a lawyer working for Czech Digital and information agency. My focus is AI, Interoperability, Data, EUDIW, DLT. Next month I am pitching for membership of Czechia in the Europeum-EDIC. Body focused on the use of blockchain within public services. I plan to introduce Polkadot Cloud and Hub and what it can do through Czechia.
I also started a doctorate on University Palackého in Olomouc with doctoral thesis on the subject of how will web3 influence the role of the nation state in the information age. Part of my research will focus on a DAO not only in theory, but mostly in practice as my long term goal (2 years) with Pluto Framework is to have a working EU compliant open source framework for building polkadot native mobile applications. I have also formed the Polkadot BD TG chat where core of Polkadot growing BD coordinates their efforts.
As part of my university research I plan to form a DAO. Its name will be Bohemia Fam. I have been working on this idea on Solana for almost 3 years now. I have a strong foundation for the DAO there and would like to in time use it as a bridge between Solana and Polkadot. I plan to focus on Prague where I grew up and have many connections with independent enterpreneurs and businesses.

Requesting treasury funds to establish additional DAOs sets a problematic precedent.
DAOs, in principle, contradict their intended purpose of decentralizing governance by often consolidating voting power among a few dominant groups. Their current existence stems from unresolved issues like identity verification and uncapped voting per wallet. Once these challenges are addressed, DAOs will likely become obsolete—or at least should—since they’re more of a temporary patch preventing treasury exploitation by bad actors rather than a solution to the root problem.
Increasing the number of DAOs introduces greater complexity and discourages broader participation in OpenGov. For users outside DAOs, the cost of transaction fees becomes harder to justify when their individual votes hold minimal influence.
Furthermore, most existing DAOs tend to operate as echo chambers, reacting impulsively to public sentiment or the preferences of one or two influential figures. While some might argue otherwise, this pattern is evident from even brief observations in the Discord channels of various DAOs.
I have met Daniel on several occasions and always perceived him as caring a lot about Polkadot and its growth. I am in support of this proposal.
