Dotinsights - A Research Hub & Data Platform for Polkadot & Kusama Ecosystem - Milestone 1,2,3
Dear Polkadot community and Councilors,
This proposal aims at seeking funding from the Polkadot Treasury for Dotinsights for work that has been done in Milestone 1 & Milestone 2 in the period from June 2022 to January 2023; and work-in-progress for Milestone 3 from February to July 2023.
Before Dotinsights, users and builders both inside and outside of the Polkadot & Kusama Ecosystem encountered many difficulties in generating a panoramic understanding of as well as deep insights into the Ecosystem, since the decentralization nature also leads to data fragmentation.
As a team currently building heavily in Polkadot & Kusama, SubWallet realized the problem and understood our capability to address it from a builder's viewpoint. Dotinsights aspires to become a trusted research hub and data platform of Polkadot.

A hundred percent yes! I really appreciate Dotinsights' leading efforts in researching and reporting about the Polkadot ecosystem since nobody has done it before them. Their reports are insightful, well-written and well-designed. I especially enjoy the interactive charts where I can move around and play with the data. If they can provide more unique data points that'd be perfect and much more valuable, but I'm sure they're working on it and I look forward to the upcoming reports. At this stage, $17K+ per report sounds reasonable to me given that Messari asked for about $25k apiece. Good luck with this proposal!
As an early user of the Polkadot ecosystem, Dotinsights team impressed me with their very first Deep Dive Report, which was the H1 2022 report. I've been following them since then and keep being extremely grateful for the work they keep delivering. Dotinsights is absolutely a key builder of the eco who always set high standards for their work and actively contribute to the ecosystem. I 100% support them.
My feedback: If they can put on-chain data (staking, governance, TVL, fees, etc) into the website, it would be great
